ARE YOU WILLING TO RESIST JUMPING TO QUICK AND SUPERFICIAL ANSWERS?

There is always a time between endings and beginnings when, for the very briefest of moments, incredible, powerful, deep change is possible.

This is the moment I describe in A Wild Soul Woman as the Forest Woman stage of the journey, and it is the second initiation.

To own this in-between stage is to inhabit a period rife with chaos and uncertainty. This can lead us to rush to find solutions in order to break the tension and shift away from wild possibilities to familiar predictability.

But Forest Woman demands we remain rooted in the questions and the unknowing for a while.

She asks you:

Are you willing to sit in the unknown, paying attention to synchronicity and signs?

Are you willing to develop and honor your own instincts and intuition—your feral, somatic knowing?

Are you willing to forgo superficial answers for deeper realities and wisdom?

Not rushing to easy solutions is hard. Not knowing challenges us. But consider, Forest Woman says—if you move too soon, you will only end up on the same, well-trodden path.

Forest Woman puts you at a crossroads. A place of choice. You can continue to be held hostage to a path not of your own making. Or you can enter the dark forest and discover your own way.
