OCEAN AND RIVER WOMAN

She is flow and feeling, the flood of sexual desire.
Shapeshifter and earth-scriber so powerful
stone gives way beneath her touch.
In time she moves mountains.
She is the blue stream of veins, the wild wave, the still lake.
From her oceanic womb life arises.
Moonlight tugs at her swaying body.
Her hair is the white of mountain snow.
She is thirst quencher and tide dancer,
full-throated and still as ice.
She is the stream of consciousness, the sacred fountain.
In her gentleness, we are lulled.
In the face of her fury, we are humbled.
In the full force of her passions, we are unstoppable.
When we surrender to her flow, we come fully alive.
